Daily maintenance of belt conveyor equipment and accessories

Belt conveyors transport materials through friction transmission. During operation, it should be used correctly for daily maintenance. The contents of daily maintenance are as follows:

1. Inspection before starting the belt conveyor

Check the tightness of all bolts of the belt conveyor and adjust the tightness of the belt. The tightness depends on whether the belt slips on the roller.

2. Belt conveyor belt

(1) After a period of use, the belt conveyor belt will loosen. The fastening screws or counterweights should be adjusted.

(2) The heart of the belt conveyor belt is exposed and should be repaired in time.

(3) When the core of the belt conveyor belt is corroded, cracked or corroded, the damaged part should be scrapped.

(4) Be sure to check whether the belt conveyor belt joints are abnormal.

(5) Check whether the upper and lower rubber surfaces of the belt conveyor belt are worn and whether there is friction on the belt.

(6) When the conveyor belt of the belt conveyor is seriously damaged and needs to be replaced, it is usually possible to lay a longer conveyor belt by dragging a new belt with the old one.

3. Brake of the belt conveyor

(1) The brake of the belt conveyor is easily contaminated by engine oil on the drive device. In order not to affect the braking effect of the belt conveyor, the engine oil near the brake should be cleaned in time.

(2) When the brake wheel of the belt conveyor is broken and the thickness of the brake wheel rim wear reaches 40% of the original thickness, it should be scrapped.

4. Roller of the belt conveyor

(1) If cracks appear in the weld of the roller of the belt conveyor, it should be repaired in time and can only be used after passing the test;

(2) The encapsulation layer of the roller of the belt conveyor is aged and cracked, and should be replaced in time.

(3) Use calcium-sodium salt-based rolling bearing grease. For example, if three shifts are produced continuously, it should be replaced every three months, and the period can be appropriately extended or shortened according to the situation.
